How to Provide an Agency Access to Your Ad Accounts

If you’re request a free audit from PPC Assist, or if you’re signing up with our service, you’ll need to provide us with manager account access so we can get the work done! Below, we outline the steps to provide access to your ad accounts on Google, Microsoft (Bing), and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

If you are subscribing to our service at PPC Assist, we will also need access to tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to help manage your tracking. How to provide access to those accounts is located in a separate document here.

Google Ads

  • Sign into Google Ads (ads.google.com). In the upper-right, you’ll see a 10-digit Customer ID number. Copy that number and send it to us!

  • We will send a request to add your account to our client manager center. You’ll receive an e-mail confirming the request for access.
  • Click the approval link in the e-mail to approve our request

If you don’t receive an email, you can approve the request manually in your account:

  • Log into your Google Ads account. Click the wrench in the upper-right (Tools & Settings), and then Access & Security (under the “Setup” column).

  • Click on the “Managers” tab (second tab horizontally). You should see a request from us listed there, where you can click “Approve Access.” It will appear where you see “Remove access” in the image below (access has already been granted here – but you can see how easy it is to remove access too).

That’s it, you’re done! We’ll now be able to complete a free account analysis to see how much you may benefit from using PPC Assist for your account management.

Bing Ads / Microsoft Adcenter

  • Sign into Microsoft Ads (ads.microsoft.com). In the upper-left, you’ll see a Customer ID listed next to the name of your account. Copy that ID and send it to us!

  • Click the approval link in the e-mail to approve our request

If you don’t receive an email, you can approve the request manually in your account:

  • Log into your Microsoft Ads account. Click the wrench in the upper-right (Tools), and then Account Access (under the “Setup” column).

Click on the “Direct Managers” tab (second link in the left navigation). You should see a request from us listed there, where you can click “Approve Access.” It will appear where you see “Unlink” in the image below (access has already been granted here – but you can see how easy it is to remove access too).

Once you’ve approved the account linking, you’re done! We now have access to your account to complete your free audit, or to build out and manage your account.

Meta Ads

  • Note that access to Meta Ads can be confusing, as these accounts contain multiple assets (ad account, page, Instagram, pixels, etc). For a basic audit, access to the Ad Account is typically enough. However, for management or larger audits, we’ll need access to the Tracking Pixel and other assets. Access is best shared if all your assets are stored in a Business Account, which you can then add us to and assign assets. Since this is a bit more complicated, we’ll cover it in a separate access document.
  • To provide simple Ad Account access, sign into Meta Ads by going to your Ad Manager Overview here. If you’re logged in already, that link should take you directly to the account overview. At the top of the page, as well as in the main viewing window, you’ll see a Ad Account ID number. Copy that number and send it to us!
  • We will send a request to add your account to our client manager center. You’ll receive an e-mail confirming the request for access.
  • Click the approval link in the e-mail to approve our request

If you don’t receive an email, you can approve the request manually in your account:

  • Log into your Meta Ads account and navigate to the Business Settings, or click here to go directly. Here, you’ll be able to approve and manage your Partner access.

That’s it! We’ll be able to take a look at your account for a basic, initial audit to see if your account is a good fit for PPC Assist.
